about global startup awards

Global Startup Awards is the largest independent startup ecosystem competition. GSA uses its competition framework and events to run programs across the whole world. The organisation has its HQ in Copenhagen.

Global Startup Awards is already present in over 120 countries (divided into 12 regions) on 3 continents and growing fast.

Mission

Our mission is to provide high-quality Oscar-like awards to the startup ecosystems locally, regionally and globally. Using the brand as a vessel to create additional value for stakeholders.

Goals

Our goal is to inspire, motivate, and recognize entrepreneurship on a global level. We focus on the entire startup ecosystem by connecting a community of startup enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem supporters from diverse and complementary backgrounds.

Vision

We aim to find, support and connect the top 1% of each local startup ecosystem in the world.

We want to create a platform for connecting, promoting, and showcasing the startup and entrepreneurs ecosystem in the respective region but also to the global scene through communication/PR, a competition, and event activities. In GSA, we believe that the future will be shaped by founders who master technology and innovation.

How it all started

Global Startup Awards was born out of the Nordic Startup Awards (NSAwards), which was the first region founded in 2012. Later, in 2015, was born the umbrella brand that connects all regions, Global Startup Awards. GSA is now providing a global platform that creates value for the participant stakeholders, governmental institutions, corporations, and private companies.

Values

One of our most important values is to respect the independence of the competition, so we under no circumstances sell data to anyone, and we never charge our nominees, applicants, and winners for anything related to the competition or the events.

What we do

We do high-quality Oscar-like awards of the startup ecosystems locally, regionally, and globally. We are using the brand as a vessel to create additional value for stakeholders.

How it works

The competition framework is built so it represents and involves all stakeholders that are needed in a successful startup ecosystem.
