INTERNATIONAL HACKATHON 2025

The University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics hosted the International Hackathon 2025 on April 16–17, 2025, where nearly 100 international students from four faculties collaborated. The two-day event focused on reimagining entrepreneurial education's future, and one of the GSA members enthusiastically participated as jury in this display of innovation and cross-cultural teamwork.

At GSA, we believe that academia plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders. That is why we were thrilled to support this initiative, helping bridge the gap between entrepreneurial education and real-world innovation.

The theme of this year’s hackathon  "Entrepreneurial Education Reboot: Reshaping the Role of the University" challenged students to reimagine how universities can empower future entrepreneurs. Every team demonstrated impressive creativity, teamwork, and the power of diverse viewpoints, reinforcing how international collaboration fuels bold ideas.

This year’s event also welcomed students from ESDES School of Business and Management, Lyon, and the Faculty of Economics in Osijek (EFOS), expanding the hackathon’s international reach.

The event was made more valuable by the involvement of 13 mentors, 3 jury members, and many valued partners, whose professional expertise and feedback made the experience even more impactful for all participants. Yazan Othman proudly represented the GSA on the jury board alongside Dávid Siptár and Péter Fodor, helping select the top-performing teams.

The 2025 International Hackathon was a standout event, notable for its organization and significant prizes. It clearly highlighted how entrepreneurial education, global collaboration, and the contributions of young innovators are essential to building the future. At the GSA, we’re strongly committed to nurturing young talent, fostering entrepreneurial mindsets from the start, and closing the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

Our sincere congratulations to all the participating students! We also extend our gratitude to the mentors, partners, and judges for their invaluable contributions to the International Hackathon 2025, making it a resounding success.
